Before she began practicing medicine, Dr. Montero attended Rutgers University and then obtained a medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. From there, she successfully completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwell Health in Manhasset, New York. Today, she’s a licensed practitioner in New York and New Jersey, allowing her to reach as many patients in need as possible.
Throughout her career as a physiatrist, Dr. Montero has become a specialist in a number of different areas of medicine, including non-surgical treatments for the neck, lower back pain, and various other musculoskeletal issues commonly found in the elbow, shoulder, knee, and hip. Additionally, she has many years of experience performing EMGs.Thisis auseful tool used to diagnose disorders like lumbar radiculopathy, carpal tunnel nerve entrapments, peripheral neuropathy, tarsal tunnel, and cubital tunnel.
