  • Who Is Dr. Rovner?

Spinal surgery is no joke, so when you or a loved one needs to undergo such a surgery, you want to do so knowing you’re being cared for by the best spinal surgeons using the most cutting-edge techniques possible. Fortunately, Dr. Rovner is one of those doctors. Dr. Rovner graduated with a medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine before he went on to complete a residency in orthopedic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. From there, he successfully completed a spinal surgery fellowship at the Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Upon completing all of his education requirements, Dr. Rovner became boardcertified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons to practice in New York and New Jersey. He also is boardcertified in orthopedic surgery and has practice specialization in spine surgery.

Despite the fact that Dr. Rovner has focused a lot on obtaining advanced training in spine surgery and orthopedics, he also prides himself on being able to offer a number of other treatment options for the back and spine. Additionally, over the course of his impressive career, he’s managed to become a regional expert on the medical and surgical management of diseases and disorders of the spine.

    Dr. Rovner’s Philosophy

A big reason why Dr. Rovner has managed so much success in his career so far is that he makes sure to see each individual patient for who he or she is. Each person under his care is unique, requiring a personalized treatment plan. Although he has experience treating virtually every type of spinal and back conditions, he makes an effort to create a treatment plan that works specifically for each patient’s needs. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions.

Dr. Rovner also understands that not everyone he sees will need surgery. In fact, before recommending surgery, Dr. Rovner always strives to find and recommend more conservative, less invasive treatment options and only recommends surgical solutions when it’s absolutely necessary. Even when he does decide to go forward with a surgical solution, he makes sure to use the least invasive surgical technique possible. This is good news for his patients because less invasive surgical solutions usually translate to faster recovery times and less pain overall.
